Bayside Rocks: World Music for a Cause

Are you ready to rock for a great cause? Then set your calendar for Saturday, Nov. 20. That’s when Bayfront Park hosts the inaugural Bayside Rocks Music And Arts Festival celebrating multicultural unity and hope with an eclectic line up of international music featuring Grammy Winning reggae band Steel Pulse, Toots, Maytals, Midnite, Cultura Profetica, Marcia Griffiths and more amazing artists and performers.

Over the course of the day, the Bayside Rocks Festival plans to bring over 10,000 people to downtown Miami. The event is described as a journey directed by the unifying languages of the arts.

However, Bayside Rocks is more than just a cultural festival celebrating unity, love and hope. It’s also a fund raiser for the Be The Match Foundation, a nonprofit that helps patients get the bone marrow or umbilical cord blood transplants they need, when they need it. Every year, thousands of people diagnosed with life-threatening diseases depend on the Be The Match Registry to find a donor match. (You can join the donor registry here.)

Bayside Rocks Music and Arts Festival seems like the multicultural event of 2010. So, if you love international music, reggae, and supporting a great cause, I’ll see you there.
