A very happy birthday to Sweat Records as it celebrates its fifth anniversary this weekend.

The 2009 KAC winner has overcome hurricanes, theft and homelessness in its tenure, but co-founder Lolo Reskin has emerged victorious, now hosting at least 10 live events a month, including standup comedy, storytelling, art exhibits and film screenings. Sweat is celebrating the big birthday this weekend with a free Sweatstock party. The party begins at noon on Saturday and runs into the evening. Festivities include:

• Live performances by local bands
• DJs
• Stand-up comedy
• Big screen aquatic projections from marine-biology collective coral Morphologic
• A sampling of local storyteller Mike Gajewski’s Pure Imagination Live series
• Vegam cupcakes
