What does the announcement of the Knight News Challenge: Health winners, the 2014 Clinton Health Matters Conference and Elvis’s famed honeymoon hideaway all have in common? The beautiful desert community that includes Palm Springs, Calif.

From Jan. 13 to 15, Knight Foundation will be in La Quinta, just down the road from Palm Springs, attending the Clinton Health Matters Conference, the annual showcase of what leaders across various sectors are doing to contribute to health and wellness across the U.S.

During the conference, on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 2:00 p.m. PT, we will announce the winners of the $2.2 million Knight News Challenge: Health, which asked the question, How can we harness data and information for the health of communities. Follow along on Twitter via @knightfdn and #newschallenge. Immediately following the announcement, Michael Maness, Knight’s vice president of journalism and media innovation, will participate in a can’t-miss panel called “Leveraging Digital Platforms to Promote Health,” moderated by Chelsea Clinton.

Be sure to catch the winners announcement, the panel, and the entire conference live streamed at clintonfoundation.org/healthmatters2014.

If you’re attending the conference and want to hear more from our winners, you can attend a special reception we’re hosting Tuesday night.  Here are the details:
