About our Knight Prototype Fund strategy
The Knight Prototype Fund helps journalists, developers and tinkerers take media innovations from idea to demo. With grants of up to $50,000, we’re here to help you test your core assumption, so that you can learn and iterate before building out an entire project. The program is premised on the belief that with the cost of experimentation dropping these days, it’s almost too expensive not to try out new ideas. As successful projects emerge, Knight Foundation is positioned to help them scale. Browse through funded projects, our FAQ and apply now.
