To bolster watchdog journalism, VTDigger.org will use funds to hire an investigative reporter to cover health reform and energy issues in Vermont. The reporter will gather material for long-form stories while providing daily coverage to the news site’s 23,000 readers statewide. Stories will focus on health and energy as they are issues that drive the state’s economy and are among the topics Vermonters care about most.
