To host a summit and training for nonprofit news organizations, in partnership with the Knight Digital Media Center

The Community Journalism Executive Training (CJET) program, to be held October 18 - 20, 2012 in Los Angeles, Calif. and hosted at the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, is made possible by support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The $100,000 grant allows INN to produce the program and fund attendance for 40 executives from journalism producers around the country. The attendees will be joined by 10 mentors, entrepreneurs and executives with experience in running successful technology, media and digital news operations.

Kevin Davis

Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director

Kevin Davis is CEO and Executive Director of the Investigative News Network (INN), a growing consortium of more than 50 nonprofit newsrooms that produce non-partisan investigative and public interest journalism. Davis oversees INN’s efforts to increase revenue, improve operational efficiencies, syndicate content, provide support for technological innovations and encourage editorial collaborations. Davis is a former digital publisher with more than 16 years of experience in strategic management and media growth at news organizations.
