Luis Linares joined Knight Foundation's Communities Program in October 2012.

Prior to his work with Knight, Luis interned with the AARP Foundation as a multicultural outreach assistant. He also interned at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in the information technology services department.

Active in the disaster preparedness/relief community, Linares is a member of the Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations System (FEMORS) and the HandsOn disaster response team. He is pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree at Florida International University and specializes in human resource policy and emergency management.
