For about a year now I have been working on developing The Miami Rail. The idea was born when Phong Bui came to Miami to give the opening lecture at Lester’s and asked what I would think about “franchising” The Brooklyn Rail down to Miami. I am thrilled to announce that under the generous arms of The Knight Foundation, The Brooklyn Rail and Phong Bui, we have a firm launch date of June 1st. The idea has been helped along with a creative advisory committee that includes Matthew Abess, Christy Gast, Daniel Milewski, and Mylinh Nguyen, and of course Phong Bui.
