Photographer and lecturer Camille Seaman arrives at the Light Factory this March

The Light Factory will host renowned photographer and lecturer Camille Seaman, 2011 TED fellow and 2007 Critical Mass Monograph award winner, on Thursday, March 22 at 7pm. Seaman has agreed to host a workshop for photographers called “Finding Your Focus” Saturday, March 24 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. The cost for this is $195; registration is required.
In this workshop, Camille Seaman will share her journey as an artist and offer helpful portfolio reviews to each student. Her stories will inspire students as they learn from her mistakes, hard lessons, and artistic triumphs. Seaman will discuss how she came to photograph environmental issues and the evolution of this concept in her work. She will discuss the importance of having an artistic focus and offer tips on how to find a photographic focus. Seaman will take the time to look at ten photographs per student. She will look at this work and guide students towards an area of focus.
