Knight New Work 2022

Learn more about Knight New Work 2022 in a blog post from Knight’s Jennifer Farah.

Technology enables arts practitioners to develop new modes of expression, and to create works that immerse and reach broader audiences, ultimately strengthening community ties. Knight New Work 2022 is a call for proposals that will provide up to $500,000 to support South Florida-area artists of all genres who use technology in their practice to create, disseminate and enhance the way art is experienced.

Knight New Work 2022 is open to individual artists, collectives and art organizations. Applicants must be based in or have direct ties to South Florida, proposed works must premiere in South Florida and all works must incorporate technology. Proposals will be accepted from July 18 to August 29 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Applications will be reviewed by a national panel of artists, practitioners and Knight Foundation staff, and winners will be announced in November 2022. Knight New Work 2022 winners will convene in Spring 2023 to share works in progress, and all works will premiere by Spring 2024.
