A Night Under the Stars with Elaine Lancaster and the stars of ‘Wicked’

Wicked.

Despite radical progress from the time that HIV/AIDS was a fatal and stigmatized disease, a cure still does not exist. But recent studies suggest that persons living with HIV/AIDS can now have life expectancies equal to and/or greater than those of the general population–if they are receiving treatment.

Along with countless other HIV/AIDS organizations across the country and the world, Broadway Cares Equity/Fights AIDS is partly responsible for keeping HIV/AIDS in the spotlight and pushing for greater acceptance, awareness and treatment options. However, access to treatment is not universal.

Tonight, from 6:45-9:30 p.m., Elaine Lancaster will host and DJ “A Night Under the Stars” at the Sagamore Hotel, to benefit Broadway Cares Equity/Fights AIDS. Cast members from the national touring company of Wicked will perform, followed by a Bogart & Tracy men’s swimwear fashion show styled by Danny Santiago.

“A Night Under the Stars” will take place Monday, March 16th from 6:45-9:30 p.m. at the Sagamore Hotel, 1671 Collins Ave., Miami  Beach. Tickets to the fundraising event can be purchased online
