Join a network of creative entrepreneurs and professionals through Amplify

By Leslie Graham, Macon Arts Alliance

Amplify, a program of the Macon Arts Alliance, is connecting a network of creative entrepreneurs and professionals in the middle Georgia area. Creatives can join this network through two levels of membership, a basic creative membership and a “level 2” membership.

Casie Trace, a Macon illustrator and Amplify member, first learned about Amplify from Facebook. “I was really interested in attending workshops and networking with other artists in the area.” She was able to do both by joining the Amplify program.

All Amplify members receive access to a reliable communications network. Amplify provides communications that highlight upcoming programs and professional opportunities and offer creatives the opportunity to network and expand their businesses.

As part of Macon Arts Alliances devotion to expanding the opportunities for creatives Amplify provides free promotional support and services. Every member receives an artist profile that showcases his or her work. These profiles are useful in connecting the public to the creatives in their community. Additionally, level 2 members, have access to an updated local media contact list that they can utilize to promote their creative careers.

Members have access to professional consultations about their entrepreneurial ventures or established businesses. While professional consultations are available to all members, level 2 members receive additional consultations in fiscal sponsorship. These consultations provide key information about the health and growth of a creative business.

“The resources at hand are very useful. It’s nice being a part of a growing art community in Macon,” said Trace.

Other professional resources are available. Members can attend professional mixers free of charge and receive discounts to professional development workshops. Upcoming workshops cover a variety of topics including: marketing in the arts, social media, WordPress, Etsy and developing your artist profile.

Trace recently attended the Amplify your Creative Business workshop. “Learning about how to become more productive and how to prioritize my career goals was very useful. It helped me to better understand the business side of being a successful and professional artist”.

Membership is easy and truly amplifies the opportunities for creative professionals in the middle Georgia area. Learn more at AmplifyforCreatives.com or email Stephanie Fritz at [email protected]
