Knight Foundation-NORC Poll: Americans want government to prioritize technology and AI issues

New technology and artificial intelligence are dramatically reshaping how Americans stay informed. Recent court cases, security incidents and public calls for action have underscored the public’s interest in whether and how the government decides to regulate technology companies. Knight Foundation and NORC at the University of Chicago fielded a new national survey to understand Americans’ views on what issues they want the government to act on and what institutions they trust to handle issues of user safety, free speech and privacy.
