Yesterday morning, I sat in on a workshop for Charlotte's nonprofit leaders on how to create a data-driven organization, organized and led by Knight Foundation grantee, NPower Charlotte region. 

For those that couldn't make it, here are some videos of presenters: Holly Ross, executive director of NTEN, describes how to tell stories with data and Chris Meade, Executive Director, NPower Charlotte, describes how data can help solve business problems of non-profits.

The 120-plus participants identified issues they were here to learn about: how to find the right database for my organization, how to better understand donors, how to understand the direction programs should take, etc.

It was a great day.
