In March 2013, the Knight Foundation provided $600,000 in additional funding to the Civic Commons to integrate and advance its online and community engagement work with ideastream, a non-profit organization that applies the power of media to education, culture and citizenship. Together, they will serve community leaders, institutions and the growing desire of citizens to be engaged and empowered on key initiatives and community issues by providing multiple media community engagement throughout Northeast Ohio.
