Registration is closing in on DawnTown 2009: Metromover, DawnTown.org’s public architecture competition for a new Metromover station in Downtown Miami. Judged by the likes of Terry Riley, Mera Rubell & Gillian Thomas, the contest awards cash prizes for rethinking the currently closed Metromover station on the northern edge of Museum Park. Adriaan Geuze, famed international landscape architect (pictured above), has recently agreed to be the keynote speaker at DawnTown’s awards ceremony on December 4. It will be Geuze’s first public apperance in Miami since winning the commission to design the “music garden” adjacent to the New World Symphpny’s new Gehry-designed campus.
