The following is part of an in-depth look at how YOUMedia Miami is a creative space for teens to experiment with digital media. Below is a documentary film project, “YOUMedia’s Legacy.” The editing, voiceover and music is done by Terence Brock, age 18.

I’ve been a part of YOUMedia for a year and a half now and along the way I’ve met a lot of interesting people and YOUMedia Mentors that drive the space. Thanks to the regular workshops in the space, I have learned how to use professional equipment such as cameras and Mac computers. I have also learned how to use software like Garage Band to produce original music. But most importantly, I have learned life skills and it has meant a lot to me. I look forward to any future programs YOUMedia has to offer with overwhelming excitement and joy.
