YOUMedia Miami inspires young people to create creatively
The following is part of an in-depth look at how YOUMedia Miami is a creative space for teens to experiment with digital media. The acrylic artwork below, “Hare,” was created by Deborah Dixon, age 17.

YOUMedia is an outlet for me to express myself through my art. Programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator are easily accessible here at YOUMedia. I have also been able to alter and make creative videos using a green screen in Adobe Premiere. YOUMedia is a great place for teens to interact with each other through technology and work together to create interesting projects and put on fun shows. As for me, YOUMedia is a program that encourages my skills; it is a productive way for me to spend my time, and a tool with which I can build my future.
