Brad Stelzer joined Knight Foundation in 2025 and serves as director of private investments.

Prior to joining Knight Foundation, Stelzer spent more than fifteen years investing in private markets on behalf of institutions and families. Most recently, he was Senior Investment Officer for American Trading and Production Corporation, a single family office in Baltimore. He previously held roles on the investment teams for Lockheed Martin Corporation and Montgomery County Employee Retirement Plans, and he has volunteered in finance and investment related board and committee roles for various organizations. Stelzer began his career working for PwC.

Stelzer holds an MBA and a BS in Business Administration in Finance and Accounting, both from Miami University. He is a CFA charterholder and a CPA (inactive).
