Emily Dabau joined Knight Foundation’s 2016 summer internship program in May. She works with Anusha Alikhan, the director of communications.

A rising senior at the University of Miami, Dabau studies journalism and public relations. She has worked as an editor for her college newspaper, The Miami Hurricane, and previously interned with Good Housekeeping, Miami New Times and Gulfstream Media Group.

Dabau served as a First Year Fellow at the University of Miami, a mentor to first-year students, building a supportive community and planning academic programs. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking and exploring Miami.
