Emmanuel Varela joins the Knight Foundation’s 2023 internship program with the Finance team, reporting to Juan Martinez.

He is pursuing a degree in Computer Science, focused on Finance & Data Analytics at Florida International University. He is interested in exploring the intersection of finance and software engineering and is passionate about technology and innovation. During his Knight Foundation internship experience he hopes to contribute to innovative product development and round out his technical skills. Emmanuel has volunteered in hackathons, served as the Student Body President for the Financial Planning Association, and is a Teaching Assistant and committee member with INIT Reach where he mentors students on technical interview preparation, competitive programing, and algorithm techniques
