Nathan Hill joined Knight Foundation’s 2018 internship program in June. He works with Akron Program Director Kyle Kutuchief.

Hill is a senior at the University of Akron, where he majors in political science/criminal justice and minors in emergency management and homeland security. Hill has an associate degree in criminal justice/safety studies from the University of Akron.

Hill is the captain of his university’s nationally-ranked speech and debate team. In this role, Hill has won the title of top overall speaker at the Ohio Forensics Association State Championship two years in a row, in addition to several other accolades. Hill also has experience in student engagement and recruitment positions at the University of Akron and as a college campus leader for a 2016 U.S. presidential candidate.

In his free time, Hill enjoys exploring Akron and sharing his pride for his university and city with others. Originally from Las Vegas, Hill is excited to work on leveraging public spaces, initiatives and community events to engage more students in enjoying Akron, the place he now calls home.
