About

Sneha Verma joined Knight Foundation’s internship program in June 2019. She works withLilian Coral, director of national strategy and technology innovation, and Gail Roper, director of national initiatives.

Verma is a student at the University of Kansas (KU), where she is studying economics with a minor in mathematics. She works as a research and teaching assistant and served as the director of policy and development for KU’s student senate. In this role, she planned and executed programs to alleviate student hunger, support sexual assault survivors and stabilize student fees.

Prior to joining Knight, Verma was an intern at Spirit AeroSystems, where she worked on data visualization and analysis for the global customer support and services department.

In her free time, Verma enjoys pottery and baking. A proud Kansan, Verma is excited to learn about the intersection of nonprofits and technology and apply both frameworks to smart cities.
