MIAMI, Fla. – Sharon Moshavi, an experienced international journalist, joins the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as communications manager. Moshavi will serve as reporter, editor and project manager for a variety of Knight Foundation publications, reporting to Larry Meyer, vice president of communications.
Moshavi most recently served as a Tokyo-based editor and correspondent for the weekly public radio show, Pacific Time. While in Tokyo, she worked as a desk editor for The Nikkei Weekly and as a contributing correspondent with The Boston Globe. From 1994- 1999 she was a special correspondent in Jerusalem for Newsday and a special correspondent who helped establish BusinessWeek’s India bureau. Moshavi has contributed to National Public Radio, the British Broadcast Company and Canadian Broadcast Company and been a reporter at Forbes and Broadcasting & Cable.
Moshavi, a native of Baltimore, is a graduate of Columbia University.
