Acclaimed Trey McIntyre Project arriving in Akron this fall!

The acclaimed Trey McIntyre Project, led by one of the most sought after choreographers working today arrives in Akron this fall for a full week of dance related activities.
Co-presented by, The University of Akron, E.J. Thomas Hall and DANCECleveland, with lead support made possible through a thriving relationship with the Knight Foundation, Trey McIntyre Project, a Boise, Idaho based dance company, provides audiences with a fresh perspective on contemporary ballet featuring beautiful dancers, enchanting music and a magnetic connection to audiences that make this company wildly popular across the globe.
During the week of October 1st, Trey McIntyre Project will start “on the ground” with a full week of dance residency activities and classes at the Guzzetta Recital Hall. The company will participate with University of Akron students as well as area middle and high school students. The master class will focus on modern and ballet styles both for pre-professional and professional dancers.
The company will then offer a free, hour-long student “lecture performance” on Friday, October 5th at 10:00 a.m. The performance will include a Q&A session and provide Akron audiences with an intimate look at the famed company. The week commences on Saturday, October 6th at 8:00 p.m. with a full length ticketed performance at E.J. Thomas Hall as part of DANCECleveland’s 12-13 Dance Performance Series.
