The beautifully bizarre and deliciously deranged Miami-based traveling troupe and performance company Circ X wants you. The Knight Arts Grantee seek fearless and committed artists – dancers, clowns, circus acts, burlesque and cabaret performers – to become part of its upcoming performances at the Fillmore Miami Beach on September 20th, 2014.

The September show at the Fillmore, unlike the previous three-hour marathon production, will consist of two one-hour shows performed back to back. The shows will feature a “variety of “short format” acts, from neo-burlesque to theatrical circus artistry, showcasing South Florida’s fringe performance artists and providing them a place to take risks and explore.”

To make this show a reality, Circ X is also raising funds to match its Knight Arts Challenge Grant with a new Kickstarter campaign. The funds raised during the Kickstarter campaign will go directly to pay performers. Read more about the campaign here.

To audition for Circ X, contact [email protected]. Auditions will be held as a workshop on August 27th from 12-3 p.m. at the Fillmore Theater. Participants must bring head shot, resume, dance clothes, dance shoes (no heels) and a three-minute performance piece in any discipline.
