Next Friday, May 31, Dance Now! will host its first annual Gala Fundraiser honoring City of Miami Beach Mayor Matti H. Bower. The proceeds raised from the gala will go towards Dance Now!’s Summer Intensive Program, which offers scholarships for qualified dancers and, most importantly, provides training that fosters the growth of Miami’s dance community.

The Dance Now! Summer Intensive, which takes place at The Little Haiti Cultural Center, offers intermediate and advanced level training for dancers between the ages of 12–21. The dancers work with professional instructors and explore ballet, modern, West African, Haitian folklore and repertory, as well as other dance forms.

The Dance Now! Gala Fundraiser, held at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, will feature Dance Now! Miami’s dancers, as well as a special performance from past Summer Intensive scholarship recipients and live music by the South Beach Chamber Ensemble.

The DanceNow! Gala Fundraiser will take place at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2000 Convention Center Dr., Miami Beach, on May 31st. The VIP reception is from 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.; general reception is from 9 p.m. – 11 p.m. Tickets: $75, single; $100,  couples; $125, VIP single; $150, VIP couple.

Note: VIP Ticket holders will have access to a private reception attended by City of Miami Beach Mayor Matti Herrera Bower, and will also receive four tickets to any future Dance Now! performances at the Colony Theatre.
