If you haven’t experienced a FLA-FRA event yet, here’s your chance. FLA-FRA (Florida-France Festival) is a month-long series of concerts, films and pop-up Culture Clicks happening throughout Miami that embrace the French spirit of joie de vivre. The promotion specfically applies to upcoming dance performances by Myriam Gourfink and Cédric Andrieux.

MYRIAM GOURFINK Friday, April 25, 2014, 8:30 p.m. Program I: Breathing Monster. This solo is performed on a raised catwalk. As the body propels forward with the stillness of time itself, it gathers incredible momentum, and gestures become gravity-defying feats.

Saturday, April 26, 2014, 2 p.m. Program II: Corbeau and Marine In Corbeau (Raven), Myriam Gourfink uses dancer Gwenaëlle Vauthier from the Paris Opera Ballet and takes to task the virtuosity of ballet. Embraced in deep blue light, Marine, danced by Myriam creates another universe in a solo of micro movement.
