On Oct. 26th, Sundance Institute and Scribe Video Center are teaming up to present the first Sundance Institute Screenwriters Intensive in Philadelphia, with support from Knight Foundation.

The program will invite 8-12 local screenwriters developing a narrative feature-length screenplay to workshop their projects with renowned screenwriter and long-time Sundance Creative Advisor Joan Tewkesbury (Nashville, Thieves Like Us).  More than 140 applications were received as of the Oct. 4 deadline, illustrating the great demand for artist development programs for filmmakers from throughout the greater Philadelphia area.
