Knight Arts Challenge Winner Miami Lighthouse for the Blind has hit the international stage & needs your help. One of its students, Natalia Sulca, is competing on Minuto de Fama, a Spanish equivalent of American Idol and needs your votes.
Natalia, a Hialeah native and recent graduate of Krop High School, is an accomplished singer and songwriter. She is Natalia is also blind and has been a part of Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired for many years. At Miami Lighthouse she received vocational rehabilitation, including instruction in songwriting, music performance and production. Her compositions and performances have been featured on Miami Lighthouse CDs. She is now the proud winner of a full scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston this fall.
In the interim, you can see Natalia & vote Monday-Friday 6-7pm through July on Channel 41 or 12 America TeVe. She needs your votes, and the call in phone number will be on your TV. If she wins, she will receive $3,000 which she hopes will happen to help with her housing expenses at school. As of July 23 Natalia has progressed through three weeks of competition. We all are her fans; we count on your vote for Natalia.
