Knight Foundation enters 2013 with two new vice presidents, both promoted following the retirement of chief administrative officer Belinda Lawrence.

Jorge (George) Martinez was promoted to vice president/chief technology officer. Martinez joined Knight in June 1996 as manager of IT and recently served as the department’s director. On the program side, Martinez leads the foundation’s universal broadband access and libraries initiatives in its 26 communities.

Térèse Coudreaut was promoted to Knight’s vice president/human resources and administration after serving as its director of human resources since January 2011. Coudreaut will replace Lawrence, who joined Knight in 1997 and served as its vice president and chief administrative officer. Lawrence reflected on her 15 years in philanthropy at the recent Independent Sector conference.
