“Miami Sites Project” auditions
Dancers come prepared for Modern/ Contemporary Movement and Improvisation.
Helping to celebrate two of Miami’s historic gems, choreographer Hattie Mae Williams will present a site-specific dance event at the Venetian Pool — for its 90th birthday, 2015 — and a dance/film project at The Miami Marine Stadium, Key Biscayne, this Summer 2014. Creating collaborations between local talent in various fields to promote and create Interdisciplinary art as an opportunity to raise awareness of the beauty in site-specific performances.
Hattie Mae Williams, a Miami native and New World School of the Arts and Alvin Ailey/ Fordham University BFA graduate, who has been living in New York City, for the past 14 years, directing, teaching and producing various projects with her company The Tattooed Ballerinas. Williams has recently moved her base to Miami, Florida bringing the “Movement” of The Tattooed Ballerinas to South Florida, pushing the boundaries of site-specific dance and interdisciplinary art.
