“Page at a Time” at The Wolfsonian-FIU
Just because National Poetry Month and the O, Miami Poetry Festival are over, it doesn’t mean the world will come to an end—at least not yet.
As of yesterday and through Sunday, June 2, The Wolfsonian-FIU presents “Page at a Time.” “Page at a Time” is a 15-year-long interdisciplinary arts program crated by The Wolfsonian-FIU and Miami Dade County Public Schools. The program focuses on bringing local students into the the museum and exposing them to objects in the collection that address social and political themes.
The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, features books created by fifth-grade students from Southside Elementary Museums Magnet, South Pointe Elementary and South Miami K-8 Center. The books address local issues such as preservation of green spaces, bullying and misuse of natural resources.
