Pianist Martha Marchena

Fundación Educativa Carlos M. Castañeda (FECMC) proudly presents an Evening of Latin American Classics with lauded pianist Martha Marchena.

Marchena’s unique repertoire, captivating performances and innovative discography has engaged listeners for decades. Born in Cuba, she has performed as a soloist with orchestras and chamber music ensembles worldwide. She takes to the stage at the Koubek Center, performing music for piano by Latin American masters Ernesto Lecuona, Ignacio Cervantes, José White, Gisela Hernández, Juan Morel Campos, Olimpio Otero, Astor Piazzola, Moisés Moleiro, Licinio Mancebo and Heitor Villa-Lobos.

Ticket sales benefit FECMC, whose mission it is to promote excellence in journalism and freedom of expression, supports the education and development of Spanish speaking journalists through a graduate scholarship program.
