Secret Society Of Twisted Storytellers & Invincible collarborate on “Social Jusitce”
By Satori Shakoor, The Secret Society Of Twisted Storytellers
Detroit Rapper and Activist, Invincible and I met last September 2013, when it was announced we were both Knight Arts Challenge Winners. We talked about our projects, The Secret Society Of Twisted Storytellers and Complex Movements. Invincible suggested a possible collaboration around the theme “Social Justice.” Though Invincible was out of town she suggested LGBTQ Activist, Shorty from Ruth Ellis Center and Human Rights Activist Pastor Bill Wylie-Kellerman, of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church as storytellers and they were amazing! Take a gander at their stories that were presented Friday, March 21, 2014, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, “SOCIAL JUSTICE.” Thank you to The Knight Foundation for your continued support on this incredible journey!
