South Florida – we want your best ideas for the arts!
Today, we’re excited to begin accepting applications for the 2013 Knight Arts Challenge Miami.
Each year, we’re in awe of what South Florida comes up with – innovative ideas, truly Miami ideas, ideas to engage our neighborhoods in the arts. Because of the quality of your submissions, we recently decided to extend the contest for three more years, through 2015.
Applying, though, continues to be as easy as ever. In this first stage, we need just a 150-word description of your project.
We have been inspired too by the geographic reach of our recent winners, who are helping to weave culture into neighborhoods stretching from Delray Beach to Opa-locka and Hialeah. So this year, we’ve decided to host small Q & A sessions in four neighborhoods: South Dade, North Central Dade, Hollywood and Downtown Miami. Knight Foundation staff will be there to answer questions.
Dates and times for these community roundtables are below. Sign up for our eblasts and follow us @knightarts to find out more.
Hope you can join us at one of these events, and I’m looking forward to reading your applications.
