Students attend Actors’ Playhouse performances
By Barbara S. Stein, executive producing director Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre We are grateful for the outstanding support of Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Cultural Passport program, which has allowed Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre to provide students with thousands of free tickets to our Mainstage and Musical Theatre for Young Audiences matinees. The program makes outstanding and stimulating arts experiences available to children who may otherwise not have such opportunities.

The performing arts build character, self-confidence, knowledge of historical events and time frames, and an understanding of cultural differences. Arts experiences help develop critical thinking skills, differences between right and wrong, and life’s skills in general. We are proud to be a part of this experience for so many young people in our diverse community, building a confident and knowledgeable citizen for tomorrow.
