The Minnesota Opera’s Silent Night arrives on the small screen
Opera leaps from the stage to the screen this month as The Minnesota Opera’s performance of Silent Night airs on PBS stations throughout the country.
Based on a true story, the opera tells the story of a group of Scottish, French and German officers defy their superiors and negotiate a Christmas Eve truce during World War I. Tenor William Burden stars as the soldier whose voice inspired peace among adversaries
