Satori Shakoor, creator, producer and curator, was caught off guard when Dana Lynn Cleveland presented The Secret Society Of Twisted Storytellers with a “Spirit of Detroit” Award on November 15, 2013. We thank the City of Detroit for acknowledging our event as worthy. We are eternally grateful to The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History for giving us a home and hosting us each month. We are thrilled to be able to give back! We humbly thank The Knight Foundation for giving us an opportunity through the grant award to expand our mission and purpose! We are now officially a non-profit organization awaiting 501(3)c status. Thank you John Grenke, for supporting us in our goal for sustainability!
