Updates & Previews: The Upper Eastside Garden

UEG, Inc, the parent organization of the Upper Eastside Garden has had a busy summer of engaging the community, adding new designs and making plans. Director Peter Rozek checks in with a few updates…

  • Free admission. The Upper Eastside Garden is open to the public the last Saturday of every month.  Putt putt is complimentary and native Florida plants are for sale for just $5 each.
  • Film Screening. Saturday September 26th, we’ll be showing the film Dillinger is Dead by Marco Ferreri.  The movie starts at 8pm.  A $5 donation includes an illy coffee or Grolsch beer and popcorn.
  • Kids Installation & Party. Saturday October 31st, we’ll be having a party to celebrate our new put putt obstacle, designed by our kids sculpture class. The party goes from noon-6pm and will feature complimentary refreshments (juices, sodas, cookies) courtesy of Publix. For grown-ups, a $5 donation includes an illy coffee, Grolsch beer, or Vitamin Water.
  • Project #2. We’re also really excited about the progress of our second neighborhood project, The OMNI Board of Tourism.  Look out for updates to TheOMNIBOT.com soon.
