We’ll leave the light on for you, but we won’t make your bed
By Dominique Breard, LegalArt LegalArt, Miami’s premiere residency program, is currently accepting applications for its Local and Visiting Residency Program. Deadlines are August 31 and October 1 (respectively). Please apply online or email us for more details.
Responding to artists’ need for affordable space in Miami, LegalArt formed the city’s first live/work residency program in 2010. Open to all producers of culture, including visual and performing artists, museum professionals, curators, writers, film-makers, and designers, among others, the residency program functions as a two-part system: part one provides Miami-based artists highly subsidized, year-long studios, and part two delivers national and international participants live/work space for up 3 months. This unique environment bridges the local and the global, creating an open space for discourse, collaboration, and endless professional opportunities.
