Charlotte Dance Festival on February 15-16

The Charlotte Dance Festival is here with professional and open dance classes in modern, hip-hop and West African dance. Classes will be held on February 16th at the following times:

Professional Level Classes (university students and pro): 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Modern Dance with Sherone Price 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.: Contemporary with Angela Gallo 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.: Movement Lab with Vincent E. Thomas Open Classes: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.: West African Dance with Sherone Price 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.: Hip-hop with Stephanie Cantrell 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.: Core Conditioning with Angela Gallo Classes are between $8-$10. The Festival also offers a unique performance experience at the Booth Playhouse, featuring local and national professional dance companies like Caroline Calouche & Co.,  Echo Contemporary,  Moveius Dance and PIHOS. The CDF Repertory Ensemble will also perform a piece choreographed by Leah Cox, a solo artist who has choreographed and performed with Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company.

“Dance Charlotte!,” the performance part of the Festival, will be held on February 15-16 at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $15-$20 and can be purchased at CarolinaTix.
