‘Dance Your @$$ Off’ to help the Miami Light Project

If you haven’t made plans yet, clear your schedule and head over to the Goldman Warehouse in Wynwood Arts District on Saturday, June 2nd for the Miami Light Project’s Dance Your @$$ Off fundraising event. The funds raised by the event will enable the Miami Light Project  to continue to bring international and Miami-based artists — such as David Zambrano, Radhouane El Meddeb, Natasha Tsakos, Carlota Pradera, Priscella Marrero and others — to the district.

MLP supports innovative dance, music and theater artists, but the nonprofit organization also plays a vital role in transforming and revitalizing the cultural landscape of South Florida, and the Wynwood Arts District in particular.

The district, already well-known for its eclectic collection of art galleries and graffiti by some of the world’s greatest artists, is quickly becoming a center for the performing arts. Elizabeth Boone, artistic and executive director of Miami Light Project, has worked hard to make the MLP central to this transformation.

The party starts at 9 p.m., but its impact on the city will extend into the future. So, get into the groove with music by DJ Le Spam, The Brass King, Plan Beats, Run Sevim Run and Brimstone127. Confirmed hosts include Teo Catellanos, Lauren Fernandez, Matthew Ferrarra, Mary Barzee Flores, Yrak Saenz, Amy Rosenberg, among others who will keep the party alive and kicking.

The Dance Your @$$ Off fundraiser will take place Saturday, June 2 at 9 p.m. at The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse, 404 NW 26 St, Miami. Admission is $50 and includes an open bar, live music and entertainment. For more information, visit www.miamilightproject.com.
