Experience a show that’s “Between Two Worlds”

If you want to throw your hands up in the air and get your heart beating wildly, go see Siudy Garrido‘s “Between Two Worlds” opening June 23rd, 2012 at 8 p.m. at the Arsht Center.

“Between Two Worlds” is an explosion of flamenco that’s been getting a significant amount of buzz. Described as a fusion of urban rhythms featuring Garrido and 22 dancers and musicians, “Between Two Worlds” is an apocalyptic love story set against the backdrop of a cataclysmic climate event that makes water a rare resource.

A battle between two surviving tribes breaks out over this precious commodity, but love intervenes and takes the performance to an unexpected place. Love, they say, can be messy and destructive. But it’s also worth it, especially when the drama is set to a modernized, tempestuous flamenco and percussion beats.

“Between Two Worlds” will be performed Saturday, June 23rd at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 24th, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., at the Arsht Center’s Knight Concert Hall, 300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Tickets are $35 – $135. To purchase tickets online, visit www.arshtcenter.org/tickets/calendar/view.aspx?id=11353.
