Since 2006 , the Thriller Dance parade in downtown Macon has been an annual tradition. The event, sponsored by Hayiya Dance Theater (a Knight Arts grantee), is held on the last Friday of October each year. Every Thursday in October, leading up to the parade, volunteers gather in Macon’s Tattnall Square Park for rehearsals. It’s a fun event that attracts thousands each year.

The 8th Annual Thriller Parade is October 25.

The 8th Annual Thriller Parade will be held on October 25 in Cherry Street Plaza. The Thriller dance will begin at 9 p.m. with a street party immediately following the parade. The event is free and open to the public.
