Update: McColl Center for Visual Art

Thanks to a grant from The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte, NC, is recruiting nationally renowned artists to elevate the Center’s visibility in the Charlotte community, nation and world. Foundation support helped the Center convene a national Curatorial Advisory Board. The board, composed of Andrea Barnwell Brownlee, Director of the Spellman College Art Museum, Atlanta, Silvia Cubina, Director of the Bass Art Museum, Miami and Alexander Gray of Alexander Gray Associates, New York, is advising the Center on strategies to bring celebrated contemporary artists to the Charlotte region. The first Knight Foundation artists are expected to be in residence in June 2011.
